Independent Bookstore Day
Content will celebrate the 4th Annual Independent Bookstore Day with treats, events, and giveaways throughout the day. We'll have a great selection of exclusive and sought-after Independent Bookstore Day merchandise from the likes of Colin Meloy, Dr. Suess, Nikki McClure, Margaret Atwood, and many more. We'll open early at 9 am with free coffee and donuts for the early shoppers. Get 'em while they're hot!
We'll also unveil our new Gumball Poetry Machine, from whence, for the low, low price of 50 cents, a few seconds of your time, and a twist of your wrist, you can receive a poem and a gumball. A lucky few will find a Golden Ticket inside their poem packet, which entitles them to a FREE BOOK to be hand-selected especially for them by a Content bookseller. What must you do to redeem your Golden Ticket? Answer three questions posed to you by your bookseller.
The first 20 customers to spend $100 or more will receive a limited-edition Independent Bookstore Day canvas tote bag, gorgeously illustrated by Carson Ellis. Everyone who buys a book on Independent Bookstore Day can enter to win the amazing Tote of Contentment (check it out in store). And all day, get 20% off all our staff picks featured in the St. George's Day Contest.
At 3 pm we'll host our third annual About a Book Open Mic, where readers of all ages and stripes are invited to tell their fellow Content fans about a book they love. Bring one of your favorite books, and tell us as much or as little as you like -- but enough for us to know why you love it, please!. This year, all participants will be rewarded with a classy Content mug and the gratitude of their fellow readers.
